The text provides an introduction to general principles and rules for prescription of drugs in various pharmaceutical dosage forms with examples of individually prepared preparation prescriptions in dermatology, otorhinolaryngology, surgery, ophthalomology and for treatments of the CNS, respiratory and digestive systems disorders. There is also an introduction to phytopharmacotherapy and a chapter dealing with information on principles and ethics in experimental pharmacology.

Introduction to Biological PsychiatryBiological psychiatry occupies itself by mental disorders from biological, chemical and physical point of view. It is postulated that changes in brain signal transmission are essential in development of mental disorders. The purpose of this teaching material is to describe cellular and molecular properties of neurons, mechanisms of psychotropic drugs action and biological basis of mental disorders. Familiarity with biochemistry and physiology is supposed.
